Gather is a new church in Dianella, centred on Jesus and shaped by the simple invitation to meet together. We gather to draw close to God and to one another, finding encouragement, connection, and renewal for the week ahead.

Meet the Pastors

Vanessa and Xander are the lead pastors and are passionate about helping people encounter God sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways and seeing the church become fully alive in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Their ministry has been in urban and rural settings, in church planting and established congregations, in homelessness and addictions spaces, along with youth and children’s work.

Vanessa grew up in the UK, Xander grew up here in Perth and has been in ministry in the UK since 2008. Together they led Salvation Army congregations for 13 years, before feeling a strong sense of calling to move to Perth. They have three sons (Isaac, Asher and Gideon) and love spending time outdoors, exploring beautiful WA, as well as making the most of time with the wider family.
